BUDGET AND AUDIT COMMITTEE

This standing advisory committee undertakes quarterly reviews of AllerGen Network finances, oversees the development of budgets and financial reports, recommends on financial and investment policies, oversees annual financial audits, and reviews and recommends auditors for BoD approval. This Committee meets annually with the Network auditors to review financial audit results.

Dr. Tyrrell, an exceptional teacher, compassionate physician and accomplished researcher, has positioned the University of Alberta and Canada as a world leader in hepatitis research and treatment. He was awarded a Killam Prize in 2015.

EXECUTIVE AND NOMINATING COMMITTEE

This advisory standing committee advises on good governance practices, including policies and procedures consistent with the Network’s objectives, for Board review and approval, proposes Board meeting agenda items in advance of Board meetings, and takes action on behalf of the Board in situations where a full Board meeting is not possible and exigent circumstances warrant a special meeting.
